Computational fluid dynamics simulation of reactor air flush procedure
Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulation of air flushing procedure. Flushing carried out on a reactor upon detecting concentration of combustible gases higher than acceptable level. This work is carried out by NING Research Engineers to design an appropriate duration of flush and flow rate.
Challenges in carrying out this simulation include accurate assignment of multi-species concentration and identifying pockets of combustible gases using well tuned iso-surfaces during post-processing.
The work is powered by Lenovo high performance workstations and Siemens Simcenter FLOEFD.
NING Research engineers who are equipped with an in-house derived modelling and simulation philosophy and techniques are always keen to share our experience.
