Home appliance simulation of a Nespresso Inissia coffee machine

NINGResearch has set up an exploration fund to investigate new concepts and support meaningful projects from individuals as well as organizations that requires finite element analysis and computational fluid dynamics simulation. The fund will be used to support the recipients with FEA and CFD simulation which will be conducted by NING Research engineers in-house.

The animation attached in this post shows home appliance simulation of a Nespresso Inissia coffee machine carried out by NINGResearch engineers using computational fluid dynamics (CFD). In the animation, water is being drawn from the water tank reservoir behind the machine and coffee flows into a double wall glass in front.


The work is powered by Dell high performance workstations and Siemens Simcenter FloEFD.
